Cowichan Pattern

One of my goals for 2017 is to knit myself a cowichan, but I wanted to keep it personalized to me. So, after a lot of scanning through Pinterest, and Google search engines, I've come up with the below pattern!
Front/Back pattern

Progress to be posted to my Instagram account, finished product to be posted here eventually (before the end of the year!)

Cowichan inspired Leg Warmers

Looking through Pinterest, I ran across some beautiful looking cowichan leg warmers.
Not able to find a pattern, I decided to make my own.
Pattern width to be done in multiples of 20.
Desired length to be 14",
Desired width based off of circumference of leg (plus an extra 2" to make sure it'll fit over snug fitting pants... remember to make in multiple of 20 stitches!)

Depending on how many inches it takes to make this pattern, I may add another iteration of the wave below the owl, But I don't want the pattern to fall below mid-calf of me.

I'll probably stick to the traditional colors of  grey, cream and black.

Will post finished product once it's finished (hopefully soon!)
